I just came back from Yes Retreat, Lundu. Was there with my company group- UNISON. It’s a nice place! Rather unexpected! Small and cozy.  We had a great time. Sometimes older aunties IS more energatic and ridiculously hilarious!

One of the many things we did there was tug of war. I couldn’t remember the last time when I played. Since it was my first company outing with time company, there’s alot of people whom I dunno specially when many of them are part-timers. But the beauty of it was once we play games, as long as we are in the same team, we are best buddies and played our best.

When I was watching and In the whole tug of war thing happening, I watched how teams strategically position who’s predicted to be stronger to stand where..Normally they put the strongest behind and in front. But I find each strength is equally important. and anyway…As I watch each hands securely locked on the rope, and feet dug deep into the sand in the ready position… The rope strained and both teams pull with their might.. One team was slightly physically weaker. But each of them hanged on.. each other them were pulled to the front started losing. But the leader in front hung on… shouted to pull in unity. hung on to the rope refusing to let go.. falling n getting up diggin his feet to the sand for balance.. his team mates continue to pull.. it was a long pull, the stronger team is also getting weaker.. then they took the chance to pull over and won the game..

For this, the only thing i learnt was – Even though it was so painful, straining, slipping, losing balance, cuts on the palms, falling down and getting up, just HANG ON, DON’T LET GO- eventually you will win it over. I think in life many times I’m at a tug of war situation, specially when Iam learning to juggle between work, ministry, friends and leisure… i may be all the above feeling… It’s a reminder for me that i know Jesus is on my team.. All I need is not to let go… Keep hanging on and keep pulling…

Last Weekend, I manage to play 2 hours of bball before rushing over to the airport to catch my flight back to KL. Why the rush? Cos i need to exercise and I need to release a little bit of my tension-ness… I played… with my heart… but i have to admit the inconsistant playing and training really make me suck! but then again i did enjoy the game…

When I was on the bench resting, I noticed somethings. our game started a little bit slow.. with slow jogs and walks.. Soon after one or 2 people starts to pick up the pace and gave a momentum of offence. Defends starts to tighten up, walled up. Focus starts to build… then it’s ROCK & ROLL time.. you will see 3 points going into the baskets, you see beautiful passes being assist into the basket, you see fantastic defends challenging opponent, you see turnovers and fastbreaks happening. The game became ALIVE!! It’s heart pumping just watching that. Being IN the game too gave me boost to drive thru the game… then i hurt my elbow again..but that’s the least noticed!

It reminded me bout MANY times in our lives… when things are little bit slow, comfortable and safe.. But the moment a new thing is injected into our spirit, something in us just became ALIVE! It can be a new found hobby, a new found friend, a new found food place, a new found passion, a new relationship, a new idea of advancing ourselves or a hope of change. It sparked up something in us! I dunno bout you, but i always know this feeling… but sometimes even when we have these new things, we CHOOSE to just remain walking, slow jogging in the game…

I challenge you as much as I challenge myself, make a choice in your life to be the first 2 people to pick up the pace and give a momentum to change not only a game worth playing but a game worth watching!

Came back to Kuching to attend the ING premier Club training by Dr. Jeffery Chew at Hilton Kuching and it was awesome! There are so much more I need to learn up in this industry that I wish I have more brilliancy to capture everything faster. Being associated with those high flyers, their attitude, their focus is inspiring. AnYway..I also had the chance to host 3 of ING high flyers. 2 of them are Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) members whereby one is going the be the lifetime MDRT member. That’s how high flyer they are. Best part. One of them is an active and practising Christian whom make an impact in this industry. They were very very generous in sharing and injecting dynamics into me. I’m so enlightened!

I’ve just came back from a trip to Sibu. More to that, i SO enjoy catching up with a few friends and one friend whom I haven’t met for a VERY long time. Her baby girl is so adorable.. She smiles and “talks” at me!

I too found the best food in SIbu. Tiang Bien Ngu!

Tomorrow, I’ll be flying back KL for a few business meetings before coming back to Kuching for a company, UNISON group outing at Siar Beach.

This morning is my first time to witness a friend’s baby boy’s baptism at a catholic church tho I’ve seen baby dedication in my church. I can’t help but when i walked into the church, seeing so many babies with proud parents made me smile so much. Some are a little bit naughty some look like angels.

The priest preached on being a responsible parent and how they should model good habits and good characters and value as the children models what instilled into their head.

All in all, I just remembered I was at all smiles…

This evening I got a text from my pastor and it made my heart leap. A campus student that had joined us in church like a family for a year had finally took a step of faith to recieve Jesus into her life. The whole heaven rejoices!! Woohoo!! I believe besides God being the center of reason, I believe it’s the people that touched her life helping her to engage her questions and walk with her journey. I thank you for your prayer and determination to follow up with her, loving her and teaching her how to be like Christ! YH n JT , YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!

That made my day…….

These 3 days had made me realised many things… how shallow i am in knowing things that is happening in my country and shallow on my work industry. With that, i’m making myself to learn up like a vacum cleaner.. no i mean a “Rainbow” that can suck all the info and then release the ionizing to people!

I also realise that KNOWLEDGE IS POWER! i never wanted to believe that when i was in school, but there is some sense in that… will blog as a learn…

I just got myself a haircut…  I had it at Inspiration, Kuching. Their Star stylist has good hands. All i told him was i need a re-style that looks young professional. He ask if i want to keep the length. I said, anything.. I leave to you… and WAHLAH! came out bob! REally nice cut but i didn’t like it… for the first 2 hours.. i was REALLY fussing cos it felt like i’m looking at myself when i was 10 and that fluffy hair! urgh!! …. until i learn to look at it and learn to like it… and actually….i DOn’t look that bad… 

V told me bout this movie… Can’t wait till it’s out…. ooooo i can feel my goosebumps!!! But actually I just wanted to see Kheringtan Payne. Whahaha

sniff sniff… sore throat had been keeping me awake every 2 hours last night and had forced me out from bed since 4am… Just thought I should just get up to do something more fruitful… like blogging.. I’m kidding.. I’ve just sent a proposal for work.. Hope all is well!
