…and some dance videos cos i don’t have them try spotting me in them. wahak!
Yiaks.. cannot post one. Here’s the link. this is most current (not the best take but ok la/watching live is alot more impactful – full video not attached) Easter 2008
This is my personal breakthru together with 1am dance after inviting God to choreograph with us. Of cos with great support and help from fella teammates. Easter 2007
Thank you for believing in me, pushing me, partnering with me and getting rid of the boy band style pride days… I’m more than honoured how God would use me for a greater cause for others. All to His glory.
p/s: I can’t wait to go Penang with the team. We’ll be at ECF Penang, Saturday Night.
I called last week an eventful weekend basically because:
It was Easter
1am dance team ministered in 3 services
1 am dance team grew in bonding more from us being open up to each other personally. I thought is was powerful and encouraging for each of us to be building this team together
Got into accident. An uncle in his 60s knocked into my car with his bike from behind. He fractured his collarbone… I feel bad tho it wasn’t my fault.
First time lodging a police report for accident
First time experiencing a real life accident rather than a”mock” search and rescue that i had back in high-school during Red Cresent years.
Learnt to lean on God in times like this- his grace, mercy, love and peace
A “pray la” story that encouraged me – Refer below:
“i remember sharing with you that it was hard for me to travel for dance practice because of transport and you challenged me to pray for God to provide a way which i later on did. After (i forgot how many months), my roommate was posted to (i forgot where) and left the car for me. That was God’s provision that i encounter from your challenge”
Me being me, many times when i duno what to say for situations, I would say “pray-la”. I don’t know how many of us christian does that. But last week, I want to believe EACH time i say “pray-la”, I want to see God working supernaturally, believing God will intervene.
Thank you for dying on the cross for us, pull us through each day as it is, helping us to learn from every mistakes and every experience. Thank you for putting this team together to glorify you at the same time, molding us to who you want us to be.
We will dance to thank you, to honour you and to enthrone you for your presence to be tangible in your lives…
Everything rise and fall in leadership- John Maxwell. For the past couple of days, in the midst of my schedule, I manage to be talking to a few leaders in my midst and have a quick check on where I am today. These words are vividly in my mind as this two-three weeks, each time that I’m awake/sometimes asleep, my heartbeat raced together with my mind thinking of the many thing that need to be completed and thing that had not/didn’t run the way I have in mind. It’ve been tiring- physically, mentally and spiritually affected.
How a leader should not be:
visionless
poor in communicating vision
assuming the followers to know what to do
assuming the followers are who/ at pace as what is in the mind
losing direction
shifting blame/ find excuses
A leader should:
have time line for completion of work
trust in the followers
have a clear guide for self and followers
be concern about needs
at ground zero/ steady
knowledgeble
Never give up
Seek the Lord, with all his/her heart, mind and soul
For all the leaders out there, here is something to encourage you.
“Moses said to the LORD, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me. You have said, ‘I know you by name and you have found favor with me.’”- Exodus 33-12
