Happy-ning Weekend

September 23, 2007

Last week was a good week for me, work was awesome, no…i didn’t meant that I have no work, but it was a good balance of work :) , rest was good…. this weekend was really happy-ning.

  1. Mooncake festival LG. It was awesomely H.O.T (Happening-we had more than 20 friends, Original- we had games that our friends all got so creative creating their own mooncake story before the real deal and Thankful- that it didn’t rain that we played lantern in the park, that our food multiplied, that we had our prayers heard tho some of the lantern lights went off due to some mis-’calculation’ of time, that it was a great time and thankful for the beautiful celebration- to have mooncake created! YUM! check here out for photos!
  2. A Dear Friend’s birthday surprise- bout 17 of us went in front of her house and a straight- faced friend tricked her out before all of us  holding a candle each (at night) and sang her the birthday song loud loud… she was jumping on her feet with her pyjamas… it was so cute and happy to see her actually SURPRISED! We took time to honour her bout how she is dear to us and that how we are encouraged and excited bout what God had installed for her…And of cos, we then prayed a prayer of blessing upon her.
  3. A good rest on a Sat Morning- was happily snuggling in bed, something I don’t do often specially on a Saturday morning. Did some reading (soul purpose magazine), finish off my Heroes series- which i don’t find it so fascinating half way through the series, but i finish any ways :P , went for a visit at our new damansara church seeing it being constructed and found out above us, it’s a dance studio! WOooooHooooo! Drank my sister in law’s “lin-ngau chicken” soup. It’s nice :)
  4. Celebrated my most pinkish Pastor’s birthday- We did this in our service because we want to honour her as our SNL(Saturday Night Life) pastor. There were a video shown of her pictures and words of thanks and honouring by different ones. For us women/ ladies/ girls…. PC is a role model for us to be a follower of Christ. After the simple cake cutting, 2 testimonies by 2 ladies whom PC had touched, and prayer, PC said this (paraphrased): ” Frankly, i’m humbled by His goodness and faithfulness. I’m just glad i get to be involved, being an instrument in this supernatural works of God called change! It is amazing and rewarding.”  It moved my heart…causing me to evaluate my humanity towards God….
  5. Celebrated the youngest pastor in ECF’s Birthday- after the word of God from our senior pastor, another video was shown…and it was baby pictures of this man. It was familiar to me cos this man is my brother :)
  6. Rested well

It is my honour to be able to celebrate birthdays with these leaders who have touched and changed my life. It is indeed a Happy-ning weekend… and my weekend is not over :)

Dance to inspire, Inspire to Dance

September 19, 2007

Saw this clip here months ago, and never did had my head off it… Apparently alot of people/ Christians still cannot joint-see dance with God, dance with worship, dance with ministering…. I personally only knew, learn and experience during my time here last year….

It’s undeniable that dance is an “in” thing in this generation… even the movie “hair-spray” is out and I WANT to watch! :P Anyway… the world is acknowledging dance as a tool or way to attract, penetrate and influence this generation. Watch the advertisements on TV, MANY is using dance to catch attention… more and more dance competitions/ workshops/ movies are coming up.. to set a trend, a beat, and groove…

Christians dancers, rise up! open up your eyes. You are chosen and gifted as a dancer for a purpose! acknowledge this gift as a tool to reach your generation, your industry for God!

No Place Like Home~

September 18, 2007

Was back in Kuching for a very short weekend with my big bro and sis in law… for my cousin’s wedding, see my parents and breathe good cooling air of my not-that-polluted hometown and let the ’softer’ water bathe me…. Seriously, the water in Kuching DOES FEEL different from KL. Jill say it’s softer too… :)

Manage to meet a few of you in Kuching…for those I didn’t manage, please don’t stone me, you are still important to me, we WILL meet the next time when I go back for a reasonably longer time, arite? ehhehe… The short 2 half days was really nice in the way that although I have a few errands to run and a few places to be it was relax enough, it was…nice…. Food is STILL always good, home is always warm, traffic was smooth, house is clean, petrol is filled… and PARENTS are the best~

Got my hair done for the wedding… Yup~ another new hairstyle… i will keep trying new ones… as long as i look good…
